Free Safety Training Program!!!
Risk Assessment and Basic Training for Public Workers
This course is being funded as a public service by the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).
One Day, Two-part training is designed to enhance the levels of safety for municipal, school district, city and county workers in Construction or Maintenance activities. Each module is a 4-hour session.
The first module - Risk Assessment covers topics including Situational Awareness, Hazard Identification and Avoidance, and Decision Making for Safety.
The second module - Basic Worker Safety includes selected information on general safety rules, regulations, and practices; then covers specific training topics including: Fall Protection/Elevated Work Surfaces, Scaffolds, Ladders, Hazard Communication, Hearing Conservation, PPE, Electrical Safety, the OSHA PSM standard, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) and Heat Stress.
Attendees will receive a certificate of completion from TEEX for each module completed.
