Seminar Description:
Seminar designed for all construction workers involved in trenching and excavation, especially foremen and job superintendents. The Competent Person at each excavation site must have training and knowledge in soil analysis, protective systems, and OSHA's Excavation Standard, as well as the authority to take corrective action after identifying predictable or potential hazards. Completion of this seminar provides this training and safety awareness component of designating an individual as a Competent Person.
Course Outline :
In addition to the technical subjects covered in the seminar presentation, practical application insights are provided by videos, slides and in-class videos. Topics covered are: Introduction to Trench Safety, the OSHA Excavation Standard, Protective Systems, Soils Analysis, and Job Planning.
Dress:
Appropriate work clothes must be worn for hands on demonstration.
Cost: $125 per person - Includes all materials, certificate and lunch.
Time: One-day seminar meets from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
